About:
Akon is an R&B/Hip-hop singer and songwriter.
From the album Akon released the successful singles, Lonely, Locked Up, Ghetto, Pot Of Gold, and Belly Dancer (Bananza).
Akon used the time he spent in prison to work on his music and his first record, Trouble, which was released in 2004 and went to number one in the UK charts.

In 2006-2007 Akon had 11 of his songs in the Billboard Hot 100.
Akon's second album, Konvicted, was successful reaching number two in the charts and certified triple Platinum. The album contained the hit singles, Smack That, I Wanna Love You, and Don't Matter. I Wanna Love You, earnt Akon his first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100, and Don't Matter, his first solo number one single.
As well as music Akon has launched his own clothing line, Konvict Clothing, and owns his own diamond mine in South Africa.
Akon has claimed in an interview with 'Blender' that he has five children with three different women.
