Amy was discovered by her friend soul singer Tyler James at the age of 16. Tyler gave a demo tape to an A&R and Amy was signed by her current record label Island/Universal, under management company 19 Management.
Amy?s second album 'Back To Black' was released in October 2006 and the album made no.1 in the UK charts and became the best-selling album of 2007. Amy has released five singles from the album, Rehab, You Know I'm No Good, Back to Black, Tears Dry on Their Own, and Love is a Losing Game.
In October 2003 Amy?s first record 'Frank' was released. The album received positive reviews and entered in at the upper level of the charts in 2004. The album was also nominated for various different awards, including a BRIT award.

In 2006 Amy made tabloids after it was reported she had dropped four dress sizes due to comments about her size. In October 2006 Amy admitted to having previous eating disorders, she confirmed she had previously had anorexia and bulimia.
As well as weight issues, Amy Winehouse has had continuous drug and drink related problems including self-harming all which could threaten her career.
Amy Winehouse married her husband; Blake Fielder-Civil in 2007, Blake is currently in prison after being arrested for perverting the course ofice.
