Angelina Jolie is known for being an Oscar winning actor and exotic looks. She has also received three Golden Globes and an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Girl, Interrupted'.
Angelina Jolie's career started to really take off after her performance in the 1997 biopic, George Wallace, for which she won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy. She then went on to win her third Golden Globe and second Actors Guild Award and Academy Award for her performance in the film, Girl Interrupted.
Angelina started working as a fashion model at the age of 14, though her professional movie career didn't take off for another 4 years when she played her first leading role in the low budget film, Cyborg 2.

As well as her acting career Angelina has received wide recognition for her humanitarian work, and was named a Goodwill Ambassador in 2001.
Jolie has been married twice, firstly to the British actor Jonny Lee Miller, and secondly to American actor Billy Bob Thornton. Neither of these marriages worked and she is now in a relationship with the American actor Brad Pitt. Which caused some controversy as it was thought they had an affair whilst onset of the movie, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, whilst Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Angelina and Brad have since had a daughter together, Shiloh, who has three adopted brothers and sisters Maddox, Zahara, and Pax. Angelina adopted them from orphanages in Cambodia, Ethiopia and Vietnam.
