Ashanti is an American singer/songwriter and actor. She was discovered at the young age of 14 by P.Diddy of Bad Boy Records.
In 2002 Ashanti also released her first record, Ashanti, which included the hit song, Foolish, that has become her biggest song to date. Her first record also earnt her many awards including, eight Billboard Music Awards, two American Music Awards and a Grammy Award.
By 2002 Ashanti had featured on two of the biggest hit singles that year, What?s Luv? and Always on Time. Ashanti became the first female to occupy the top two positions on the US Billboard Hot 100.

As well as a music career Ashanti has started acting having had roles in movies like, Bride and Prejudice, Coach Carter, The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, and John Tucker Must Die.
