Billy Bob Thornton is an American screenwriter, singer and actor. He started acting in the sitcom, Hearts Afire, and had small roles in movies.
Billy Bob Thornton has since starred in more than 28 movies.
Billy Bob Thornton then went on to write and direct as well as star in his own independent film, Sling Blade, which was a great success and won Billy an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, a Writers Guild of America Award and an Edgar Award. His performance in the film also resulted in Oscar and Screen Actors Guild nominations for Best Actor.
Billy Bob Thornton has since starred in more than 28 movies.
As well as acting, Billy had an interest in music and has released five albums and is said to be working on his next album.
Billy Bob Thornton has stated that he has obsessive compulsive disorder and has been married five times, including to the actor Angelina Jolie with who he adopted a child named Maddox. He also fathers four other children from previous wives and one with his current girlfriend, Connie Angland.
