Cat Deeley's career started when she entered a competition called The Clothes Show where she made it to the finals. From this she was spotted by an agent and signed up with Storm modelling agency, who also signed the likes of Kate Moss. There were several other models named Catherine so she decided to shorten her first name to Cat.
Since SMTV Live Cat has gone on to present numerous television programmes. More recently Cat has moved out to America and started to host television programmes out there like, So You Think You Can Dance.
In 1997 Cat Deeley became an MTV UK presenter with Edith Bowman which led to her co-hosting the successful Saturday morning children's show SMTV Live with Ant & Dec. In 2001 she won a Children's BAFTA award for greatest presenter.
Since SMTV Live Cat has gone on to present numerous television programmes. More recently Cat has moved out to America and started to host television programmes out there like, So You Think You Can Dance.
Cat Deeley has also been the face of various different products, like Garnier Fructis and Shape Water.
Due to Cat's ambition to make it in America her long-term relationship ended and she is now single.
