Coldplay are an English group that consists of Chris Martin as the vocalist/pianist, Jonny Buckland the guitarist, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion.
Coldplay have since released two more albums, A Rush of Blood to the Head, and X&Y, which became the best-selling album of 2005. They are now producing a fourth studio album.
Coldplay formed in 1996 but didn't make a break-through until 2000 after the release of their single, Yellow, which reached number 4 in the UK charts and brought them to attention. Their first record, Parachutes, reached number one in the UK Albums Chart and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album.
