Daniel Craig is an English actor who became known after featuring alongside Angelina Jolie in, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. This led to more leading movie appearances in movies like, Layer Cake, and Munich.
Daniel Craig will be starring in the next James Bond film, Quantum of Science, due to be released November 2008.
However Daniel Craig didn't become a house-hold name until it was announced in 2006 that Daniel would be the next James Bond. He starred as Bond in, Casino Royale, which was the highest grossing Bond film to date. From his performance Daniel was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor, and won the Best Actor award at the Evening Standard British Film Awards in 2007. Daniel has been the only James Bond to do so.

Daniel was once married to Scottish actor Fiona Loudon, with who he has a daughter, Ella, but they divorced in 1994. He is now in a long-term relationship with Japanese American film creater Satsuki Mitchell.
