Daniel was asked to audition for the part of Harry Potter back in 2000 by creater David Herman whilst at a play in London. After several auditions he was selected to play the role of Harry in the adaptation of the award-winning book series.

Although Daniel is wealthy he has said that he does not have expensive taste and his main expense is books as he reads a lot.
Due to his success as an actor mainly from the Harry Potter movies he has won and been nominated for many awards like Best Newcomer, Person of the year and Best Young Actor.
Daniel has two dogs Binka and Nugget and loves to play bass guitar. He likes to listen to rock music and is a fan of Fulham Football Club.
