About:
Elton John started playing the piano at the age of 3, he soon became a child prodigy.
Elton John made an impact after his second single, Your Song, made the US Top Ten and his album followed. During a performance Elton kicked over his piano bench, and performed handstands on the keyboards which left the critics raving.
He changed his name from Reginald Dwight in homage to Bluesology saxophonist, Elton Dean and Long John Baldry.

Elton has since released around 30 studio albums and numerous compilations, and is a five-time Grammy award winner and has also received an Academy Award.
In 1998 Elton John was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth due to his charitable work so he is now granted the title Sir Elton John.
Elton John entered in a civil partnership with David Furnish in 2005.
