Eve is an American rapper, singer and actor. She started by appearing on other artist's singles to create a fan base including, DMX, Blackstreet, and Janet Jackson.
Eve's second album, Scorpion, was also extremely successful in the US and internationally. The single, Let Me Blow Ya Mind, was very popular and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Song Collaboration.
Eve's first record, Let There Be Eve...Ryders' First Lady, was released in 1999 and was an exceptional success, being the second album in history by a female rapper to debut at number one. The album has been certified Double Platinum.
Eve's second album, Scorpion, was also extremely successful in the US and internationally. The single, Let Me Blow Ya Mind, was very popular and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Song Collaboration.
Eve had a third album, Eve-Olution, and is said to be recording her fourth, Here I Am.
As well as a music career Eve has had movie roles including, XXX, The Cookout, and Barbershop, and its sequel. In 2003 Eve also starred in a television sitcom, Eve as a fashion designer named Shelly.
