Halle was named after a department store in Ohio. She was raised by her mum after her parents split when she was four. Halle was class president and prom queen at her high school. She also entered many beauty contests and won most of them.
Berry has been married twice, both resulting in divorce due to infidelity on the husbands behalf. She has now vowed to never marry again. At the moment she is seeing supermodel Gabriel Aubry and announced in September 2007 that she was carrying his child.
Halle managed to break through Hollywood with her role in Jungle Fever, she then appeared in strictly business. She is famous, especially among comic book fans for appearing as Storm in all three X-Men movies. She was Bond?s girl in Die Another Day and was in the psychological thriller, Gothika in 2003. Her lead role in Catwomen led to her worst perdformance and for which she received a Worst Actress Razzie Award. She took this gracefully, stating: to be at the top, you must experience the rock bottom.
