Kate Bosworth's first movie appearance came about after she attended an open casting call for the 1998 film, The Horse Whisperer. Kate was chosen as she was already an experienced horse rider.
Kate Bosworth has also been used by Revlon the cosmetics company to advertise their products and as of 2008 Kate is the new face for Calvin Klein Jeans.
Kate Bosworth then landed herself a lead role in the 2002 film, Blue Crush, which was a box office success and led to more movie appearances for Kate including, Wonderland, and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!
