Kate Nash is an English Singer and Songwriter, she was born in Dublin Ireland but was raised in North Harrow, London.
Kate released her first double A-side single in February 2007. The A_side to the single was 'Caroline's a Victim' and the B-side was the single 'Birds'. The record was limited to 1000 copies and due to popular demand another 100 were released also selling put extremely fast. The record was also only available on 7 vinals.
Kate attended St. John Fisher School during her childhood where she was taught how to play the guitar and the piano. Kate also attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in South London. Kate was required to write her own songs there for her GCSE's.

In March 2007 Kate was signed to the Polydor offshoot Fiction Records. This lead to the release of her second single 'Foundations' in June 2007. The single was very successful reaching no.2 in the UK charts. Kate Nash then released her first record 'Made of Bricks' in August 2007, the album was very successful reaching no.1 in the UK album Charts.
Kate has since been nominated for three BRIT awards, winning her first Brit award in the 2008 BRITS for 'Best Female Solo Artist'. She has also won 'Best Breakthrough Artist' at 2007 Q awards.
