Lily Allen is an English singer-songwriter and the daughter of actor and musician Keith Allen.
Lily Allen's first record, Alright, Still, was successful and was nominated Best Alternative Music Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, and ranked number 13 in the Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums of 2007.
Lily Allen started getting recognition through her MySpace page, and appeared in The Observer Music Monthly Magazine since of it.
Lily Allen's first record, Alright, Still, was successful and was nominated Best Alternative Music Album at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards, and ranked number 13 in the Rolling Stone's Top 50 Albums of 2007.
As well as her music her sense of style is loved and in May 2007 she launched her own fashion range, Lily Loves, for high-street shop New Look.
Recently Lily Allen has started to present her own BBC Three TV show called, Lily Allen and Friends, which will be based on the social networking phenomenon that launched her career.
In 2007 Lily was diagnosed with having a heart murmur and has since lost a lot of weight, going from her once curvy figure to very slim. Lily also suffered a miscarriage at the beginning of 2008 after a holiday with boyfriend Ed Simons of the Chemical Brothers.
Lily is said to be recording her second album.
