Michelle Williams is an American R&B and Gospel singer and songwriter. She rose to fame as a member of the extremely successful R&B group Destiny's Child.
Michelle Williams became the first member of Destiny's Child to release a solo album. It was a gospel album and was released in 2002 named, Heart to Yours. The album shot to number one in the Billboard Gospel Chart and became the biggest-selling gospel album of 2002. Michelle has since released her second album, Do You Know, which didn?t do as well and her third album is due for release sometime in 2008.
Michelle Williams joined Destiny's Child in 2000 and they went on to become the best-selling female group of all time. Whilst on tour in 2005 the girls announced they were going their separate ways.
