Morgan Freeman first became known in America through his roles in the soap opera, Another World, and the children's show, The Electric Company.
Morgan Freeman won his first Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the hit, Million Dollar Baby. Morgan is well-known for his clear deep voice and has therefore narrated for two successful movies, War of the Worlds, and March of the Penguins.
Morgan went from small television roles to supporting roles in cinema. As he started to become a bigger star Morgan started to have bigger roles in movies like, Driving Miss Daisy, and the cult classic, The Shawshank Redemption. Morgan went on to star in some of the biggest movies of the nineties including, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Se7en, and Deep Impact.

Michael Freeman was married to Jeanette Adair Bradshaw from 1967 until 1979. He then married Myrna Colley-Lee in 1984 and adopted her daughter, Deena, and had two sons Alfonso and Saifoulaye from previous relationships. The couple also had a fourth child, Morgana.
