Cage was interested in acting from a very early age. He changed his name from Coppola to Cage to make his own way, not in the shadow of his uncle Francis Ford Coppola. Cage was chosen after the comic book hero Luke Cage and John Cage, a composer.
Cage had been married and divorced twice to: Patrticia Arquette and Lisa Marie Presley. He married Alice Kim in 2004 and they have a son Kal-el Coppola Cage. Nicolas has an older son Weston Coppola Cage.
Cage starred in two movies in 1933, Rumble Fish and Valley Girl, the latter being his breakthrough role. He then starred in a range of movies ranging from comedies to action. He won a Best Actor Academy Award for his role in Leaving Las Vegas. Other movies include Gone in 60 Seconds, Lord of War and The Weather Man.

A few days ago I watched “The Family Man” movie starring Nicolas Cage and Téa Leoni… A film that was screened about 8 years ago, but I never got the opportunity to watch it except last Thursday on mbc 2… Generally speaking I loved Cage’s acting in portraying the character’s confusion and evolving ...
