Peter Kay is an English comedian, writer, creater and actor.
Peter Kay is also well-known for his television programme, Phoenix Nights, which he co-wrote. The programme was a success and had a spin-off, Max & Paddy's Road to Nowhere.
Peter Kay won the Channel 4, So You Think You're Funny? competition in 1997, less than a year after he started performing stand-up. Peter Kay went on to perform at various different places and gain more and more recognition as one of Britain's greatest comedians and entertainers.

Peter Kay helped promote the 2005 Comic Relief charity event by appearing in the music video to the re-release of, (Is This the Way to) Amarillo? This reached number one and stayed there for seven consecutive weeks.
