Queen Latifah is an American singer and actor.
Queen Latifah started her acting career by starring in, Jungle Fever, and House Party 2 in 1991. Queen Latifah has since starred in around 25 movies, some of which are still due for release in 2009.
Queen Latifah was signed to Tommy Boy Records and released her first album, All Hail the Queen, in 1989 at the age of nineteen. The album was surprisingly successful and Queen Latifah has since released five more albums.
Queen Latifah started her acting career by starring in, Jungle Fever, and House Party 2 in 1991. Queen Latifah has since starred in around 25 movies, some of which are still due for release in 2009.
Queen Latifah is also a spokeswoman for Covergirl cosmetics, Curvation lingerie, Pizza Hut and Jenny Craig. She has her own line of cosmetics with Covergirl too for women of colour.
Queen Latifah had her own chat show from 1999 until 2001, The Queen Latifah Show. She has also published her autobiography, Ladies First: Revelations of a Strong Woman, in 1999.
Queen Latifah has won numerous awards including a Golden Globe for Best Actress in the film, Life Support, two Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Actress in Life Support, and Best Cast in Chicago, and a Grammy Award for Best Rap solo performance in 1995.
